A Few Words

About The Event Organizers

In 2013, when Ann Beckle could no longer organize the Bare Bones Trauma Conference due to health reasons, Rob Johnson and Dan Bond recognized the ongoing need for quality EMS education in the region. Determined to keep the spirit of Bare Bones alive, they partnered to continue offering essential continuing education hours to EMS providers across Wyoming, Northern Colorado, and surrounding areas.

In 2013 and 2014, American Medical Response (AMR) stepped in to host trauma conferences inspired by Bare Bones. However, after 2014, AMR was no longer able to continue the effort and approached Dan and Rob to take over.

With the support of Laramie County Community College (LCCC) and its EMS program, Dan and Rob hosted the first Laramie County Trauma Conference in 2015, welcoming around 15 attendees. Since then, the conference has grown steadily. Even during the pandemic in 2020, over 60 participants attended.

Today, the Laramie County Trauma Conference is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the state of Wyoming. The organization is proudly managed by a dedicated board of directors: Rob Johnson, Dan Bond, Tracy Causey, and Tony Perry.

We are thrilled to announce that our 2024 conference will mark our 10th anniversary. We always look forward to reconnecting with our returning attendees and meeting new faces each year.

If you’re interested in volunteering or supporting the conference in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us—we’d love to have you involved.
